What is the Summit?
The New Year, New Language Summit is a free online summit organised by Dr Gareth Popkins from HowToGetFluent and the event’s founder, Kris Broholm from Actual Fluency. Held each January, the Summit brings together language learning educators, app founders, mentors and coaches, and everyday learners.
The goal has always been the same: share the knowledge, tools, and mindset shifts that help people stick with their language learning beyond the New Year rush. Sessions cover everything from beginner strategy to advanced fluency techniques, language exchange, AI tools, community, and motivation.
